    Traditions & lore

What makes Autodromo Nazionale Monza feel like more than another race weekend.

    The Tifosi

Italian Ferrari fans — the Tifosi — turn the Monza parc fermé into a sea of red on Sunday afternoon, traditionally climbing the fences after the race. A Ferrari win at Monza is the single most celebrated result of the season for the Scuderia.

    The Temple of Speed

Monza routinely posts the highest average speeds on the F1 calendar — long straights with light wing settings let cars top 350 km/h on the run to Curva Grande. The 'Temple of Speed' nickname has stuck since the 1950s when the banked oval was still part of the layout.
