Next starting grid: Belgian Grand Prix
Qualifying hasn’t happened yet — the Belgian Grand Prix takes place on July 19, 2026 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Starting grid positions will appear here once Q3 finishes.
What is the F1 grid?
“The F1 grid” has two related meanings. It can refer to the full lineup of drivers and teams racing in a given season — the 2026 F1 grid is the twenty drivers and ten teams listed above. It also refers to the starting grid for a specific race: the order drivers line up on the track before lights out, set by their qualifying result on Saturday.
Pole position is grid slot one, second on the grid is P2, and so on down to P20. A driver’s grid position can be altered by qualifying penalties, gearbox or power-unit changes, and any incidents in Q1/Q2/Q3. The race-by-race grid changes every Grand Prix — see the starting grid table above for the latest Saturday result, or browse the 2026 F1 calendar for upcoming qualifying sessions.
